Travelling Between the Parks
The Gwydir Highway is the direct route between the two parks — about 50 km / 40 minutes by car. Lovely country drive with rolling pastures and gum-tree corridors. Two great stops on the way: Cranky Rock just east of Warialda, and the views from the Gwydir Highway crests as you drop into the Bingara valley.

From Sydney / the south: Newell Highway north to Coonabarabran / Narrabri, then Gwydir Highway east — about ~7-hour drive total.
From Brisbane: head south via Goondiwindi, then onto the Gwydir Highway west — about ~6-hour drive.
From Tamworth: ~155 km / ~2-hour drive north-west.
From Inverell: ~70 km / ~50 min drive west.
From Warialda Caravan Park: ~50 km / ~40 min drive east on the Gwydir Highway.

Corner Holden Street and Gwydir Highway, Warialda NSW 2402 — right on the highway, two blocks from the main street.
From Sydney / the south: Newell Highway north to Moree, then Gwydir Highway east — about ~7-hour drive total.
